Invitation to Dinner

Besides making the blind see, making the lame walk, feeding five thousand with five loaves and two fish and turning water into wine, Jesus also granted simple requests. Those were major miracles, no doubt, but Jesus was gracious and miraculous to allow modest, unobtrusive petitions too.

The Samaritans urged Him to stay with them. He stayed two days. A Pharisee asked Him to dinner. He went to his house and ate with him and his family. They brought infants to Him that He might touch them. He didn’t dismiss the children. He obliged them. He did major miracles. He grants simple requests too.

To-day, He still honors invitations to dinner. And He definitely will honor yours.
